Broken sinks, toilets and dishwashers can be fixed again
- Repairing an imported object now actually repairs it. Sinks, toilets, showers, dishwashers, the Spa Steamer, the Skydiving Simulator and the Servo dock all used the old repair routine your Sim could never finish – the animation looped and the object stayed broken, unless your Sim happened to have a mechanical skill point already. They now use the normal repair, with the price confirmation and the usual repair animation, and it finishes.
- Servos can fix them too. A Servo has no mechanical skill, so the old routine could never make any progress at all on one.
Moving out leaves the property you meant to leave
- “Move Out” now asks which property you are leaving. If you live at more than one place, a window lists them all and you pick the one you want to leave – with the property you are standing on already selected. Previously the game chose one for you, so Sims trying to leave one house were moved out of another one entirely.
- Every roommate confirmation names the property. Moving out, inviting a roommate and removing a roommate all now say which house they are about to affect, so nothing happens to a property you did not mean to touch.
- Buying a property when you already live at four now says so. The old message told you to leave the property you were standing on, which was never the real problem. You will now be told that you already live at the maximum of four properties and need to move out of one first.
- The city map shows all four of your properties. The house markers still used the old three-property limit, so a fourth home never got a marker.
Sims no longer burn to death when Salvage touches them
- A Sim can no longer be killed by the Salvage interaction. “Salvage” marks whatever it is working on as busy, and on a Sim that marker was being read as “this Sim is on fire” – so the Sim died on the spot, playing the burning death with no fire anywhere on the lot. This was showing up as Sims bursting into flames when an administrator picked them up with the Power Glove. Salvage now leaves people alone entirely, and still works exactly as before on furniture.
