Game Updates Can No Longer Be Skipped

Fixed a loophole that could let you enter the city on an outdated version of NewSO if an update was released while you were sitting on the Sim selection screen.

The server now checks your game version every time you enter a city.

If you’re running an outdated version, you’ll be asked to restart and update before continuing.

Connection failures caused by things like required updates or maintenance will also now show the actual reason instead of a generic connection error.

Custom Floors and Walls Are Back to Normal

The previous update added new custom floors and wallpapers, but their internal numbering caused some existing custom patterns to display as completely different ones.

If your floors or walls suddenly changed appearance after the update, your lot itself was not damaged — the game was simply loading the wrong pattern for that slot.

Custom floor and wallpaper IDs are now permanently pinned so existing patterns display correctly again and future content additions won’t reshuffle them.

Anything placed during the brief period where the IDs were mixed up may change appearance one final time after updating. If that happens, simply replace that floor or wall pattern.
