Music Video Generation Stage Works Again

The Music Video Generation Stage is back in action.

The stage previously showed its normal interaction options, but selecting one wouldn’t actually start a proper shoot. A broken costume-change step was accidentally calling unrelated salvage behavior in the middle of the performance, interrupting the entire sequence.

Music video shoots now run from start to finish:

The stage’s interactions have also been re-enabled.

Your performing Sim will continue wearing their current outfit during the shoot. The original stage-costume IDs aren’t available in NewSO, so forcing those outfits would make the performer invisible.

Servo Stops Throwing Away Fresh Food

Servo could cook a fresh meal, place it on the table, and immediately decide that the platter needed to be cleaned up.

Fresh food is no longer considered household clutter. Servo, maids, and chore-performing resident Sims will now leave edible food alone instead of clearing it before anyone gets a chance to eat.

Leftovers can still be cleaned up once nobody on the lot is hungry.

This also fixes another chore-system issue that prevented Servo, maids, and resident Sims from properly repairing broken objects.

Gardener Service Description Corrected

The gardener hiring dialog still claimed that the gardener would visit every three days.

The gardener already visits daily, so the service description was simply outdated. It now correctly describes the service as daily gardening service.

The gardener’s actual schedule and price have not changed.

More Wall Decorations Can Actually Be Placed

Several imported wall decorations had the same placement problem previously seen with the Essentials First Aid Kit.

Objects such as the Essentials Bicycle Wheel and Skateboard couldn’t be placed on floors, terrain, or walls.

The underlying placement issue has now been fixed for the entire affected family instead of patching the objects one by one. This includes more of the Essentials set, Luminosity artwork and wall shelves, and other imported wall decorations that shared the same broken setup.

They can now be placed on walls like normal paintings and decorations.

Eyedropper Tool Targeting Improved

The Eyedropper Tool now does a much better job of selecting what you’re actually pointing at.

Previously, the tool could see through walls and select an object several tiles behind the surface under your cursor. It now ignores objects hidden behind walls.

Wallpaper selection has also been improved. Both the inside and outside faces of walls can now be selected reliably regardless of camera rotation.

Windows, doors, wall decorations, fences, floors, and diagonal walls continue to work normally with the tool.

Catalog Cleanup

Several duplicate or incorrectly priced catalog entries have been cleaned up.

The Hawthorn shrub was listed twice at dramatically different prices. The duplicate expensive listing has been removed, leaving the proper §20 Build Mode version.

The Downstairs UpStairs by MagiCo staircase also had a duplicate listing at a different price. The duplicate is gone, while the original staircase and its mirrored version remain available.

A few other objects were appearing on multiple catalog pages with different advertised prices — and in some cases, the price shown wasn’t even what the game actually charged.

Examples included:

These objects now appear only once and display the correct purchase price.

Anything purchased from one of the removed listings will remain on your lot and can still be sold normally.

Big Ass Bong Group Sessions Now Give Social

The Big Ass Bong always advertised Social gain, but group sessions weren’t actually increasing anyone’s Social motive.

That now works properly. Every additional Sim joining the session adds real Social gain for everyone using it.

Smoking alone still gives no Social benefit — the bonus only applies when other Sims join in.

3D Build Placement Tiles No Longer Cover Walls and Objects

The translucent placement tiles shown while building upper floors in 3D Mode could render over walls and objects, leaving large checkered patches across the house.

Those indicators now render as a proper translucent overlay after the world is drawn, so walls and objects remain visible underneath them like they do in 2D mode.

Oblique Vending Machine Works Properly

The Oblique kitchen vending machine had working interactions behind the scenes, but its animations never played. Buying a drink, kicking the machine, and drinking could all happen while your Sim simply stood next to it.

The machine now uses the proper vending-machine routines, including the expected animations and sounds.

It also no longer lights up an entire room like a ceiling lamp. Existing machines already placed on lots will stop glowing the next time the lot loads.

Bunk Bed Placement Previews Are Visible Again

Bunk beds, including the Space Cadet Bunk Bed, could appear completely invisible while being placed or moved, leaving only the yellow footprint visible until the bed was set down.

Placement previews now initialize the same state-driven graphics used by the placed object, so the bed is visible before you commit to placing it.

Other objects using the same style of state-driven graphics benefit from the same fix.

Resident NPCs Avoid Broken Objects

Resident NPCs could use broken objects that normal Sims correctly refused to use, including broken TVs and showers.

They now skip broken objects until someone repairs them.

NPCs also no longer remain trapped inside an object if it breaks while they’re using it. They’ll step away immediately so the object can be repaired.

Code, Band, and Pizza Stop Randomly Kicking Players Mid-Round

Group money games such as Code Sweeper, Band, and Pizza could suddenly remove one player’s spot in the middle of a round, sometimes cancelling the game for everyone or interrupting a payout.

A recent social-cancellation fix was matching interactions too broadly and could mistake activity on the shared game station for one Sim cancelling an interaction with another.

The matching logic now verifies that the two interactions actually point at each other’s Sims. Normal social cancellations still work as intended, while group money games are left alone.

Resident NPCs Can No Longer Freeze Forever

Resident NPCs could become permanently stuck standing in one spot if a lot saved at exactly the wrong moment while they were turning during a walk.

Reloading the lot could leave them trapped in that turn indefinitely, and their active errand could prevent the normal rescue system from interrupting them.

NPCs caught in this state now finish the turn and continue what they were doing. The rescue system also has a stronger fallback for cases where a normal cancellation isn’t enough.
