Gameplay Fixes
- Pool tables no longer crash when Sims cannot reach their shot
- Fixed a SimAntics exception that could reset a pool table and end the entire game when a player could not route to their next shooting position.
- Sims now give up on the unreachable shot gracefully instead of getting stuck walking around the table forever.
- The same protection now helps other objects that use similar “walk around me” routing logic.
- Pets are less disruptive and easier to route around
- Autonomous pet socials no longer interrupt whatever your Sim is already doing. They now wait their turn in the action queue.
- Player-started pet interactions still work normally.
- Pets now respond properly when Sims need them to move out of the way.
- If a pet still blocks a route, Sims can pass through it rather than becoming permanently stuck.
- Picnic baskets stay fresh while closed
- Brand-new picnic baskets no longer begin spoiling immediately after purchase.
- Food now spoils only while the basket is open with food out; a closed basket stays fresh.
- Clean up now correctly closes the basket or cooler lid.
- Previously stuck-open baskets can be fixed by cleaning them up once more.
- Empty baskets now offer Clean up so they can be packed away and restocked instead of becoming Salvage-only.
- Volleyball court crash fixed
- Fixed a “Thread entered infinite loop” SimAntics error that could reset the volleyball court while Sims moved around it.
- Joining a volleyball game no longer forces your Sim back into their first/default outfit.
- Sims already wearing pajamas or swimwear still change into daywear for the game as intended.
- Social cancellations now clear properly for both Sims
- Cancelling a social interaction that was waiting for another Sim’s approval now immediately clears the request for both players.
- Dismissing an incoming social request also tells the initiating Sim right away, instead of leaving them waiting on a timeout.
- Nightclub job music is working again
- Restored the DJ/Dancer job’s intermission music and live DJ mix.
- A previous fix for the buyable DJ Booth was accidentally muting the nightclub job because both used the same sound events.
- The booth fix now applies only to the buyable DJ Booth.
- Magic Starter Kit items now belong to the Sim who opened it
- The spellbook, end table, wand charger, and Clown Magic Portal spawned by the starter kit now receive the correct owner.
- This also restores owner-only options on the portal such as Tune and Set Destination.
Resident NPC Improvements
- Residents no longer sell creations they did not make themselves
- Resident NPCs now track who actually worked on paintings and other creations.
- They will only sell something they created entirely on their own.
- Co-painted work or anything started by another Sim is left for the rightful creator to sell.
- Residents make smarter choices and recover their mood
- Resident Sims no longer repeat the same failed action over and over for long periods.
- Lonely residents now actively seek out other Sims to socialize with.
- Resident happiness can recover again after a rough patch instead of remaining permanently stuck at rock bottom.
- Fixed a behind-the-scenes issue that could cause a lot to silently restart every two minutes.
Doors & Lot Rendering
- Residents now have their own door-permission checkbox
- Live-in resident Sims can now be allowed or denied access independently from employees.
- Existing doors continue allowing residents until the new option is unchecked.
- The permissions panel has also been cleaned up with clearer, separated checkboxes.
- View Permissions now properly shows the panel as read-only instead of looking editable while ignoring clicks.
- Fixed city terrain showing through lots
- City terrain could sometimes poke through the lot ground, creating ghost roads, strange colored strips, or making Sims appear partially underground.
- The city backdrop is now properly masked underneath active lots and their surroundings.
Audio & Options
- Buy/Build music now works on every property
- Roommates and owners can now hear the classic Buy and Build mode music on residential lots too, not just community lots.
- Visitors do not hear it while browsing someone else’s property.
- Added a new Buy/Build Music checkbox under Options → Sound so it can be toggled instantly.
