New catalog sets: Slinger Harris, Anna Von Marlene, and friends
- 23 objects that were already in the game files but had no catalog card are now buyable:
- “Slinger Harris” – curtains, wood panel, beverage bar, curio cabinet, ceiling lamp, column, chair, table, plant and buffet. (The dining table was already listed.)
- “Anna Von Marlene” – buffet table, curio cabinet, curtains, dining chair, dining table, planter, rug, screen and wall lamp. (The nectar bar was already listed.)
- “Fallstaff & Whytch” Banquet Table, to go with the dining chair from the same set.
- The Cerulean Storykeeper bookcase and The Cerulean Study Station desk.
- Golden Spa Aqua-Rich-ium aquarium.
- All of them are searchable by set name in the catalog.
Mentoring now works at the Welcome Nest too
- Welcome lots that only allow visitors to skill while being mentored – the Welcome Nest is the main one – were left out of yesterday’s mentor bonus. Established players there still saw “Speed: 0%” on every skill object no matter who else was on the lot.
- Now, on any welcome lot, an established player skills and earns at the double welcome rate for as long as a new player is actively skilling nearby. When no new player is skilling, established players are still not able to skill there, so the Nest stays a place for newcomers.
- Lots set to “Skill Gameplay Disabled” are unchanged – nobody skills on those, mentor or not.
Diner job: “Pickup Order” is back on the kitchen counter
- After the last update, servers working a diner job could not pick up prepared meals: clicking the kitchen pickup counter offered only “Learn to Use…”, with no “Pickup Order” row, so there was no way to deliver food.
- The counter is a two-tile object, and the menu that lists the waiting plates walks both tiles. A fix that went out with the last update for sims freezing at the bar stopped that walk one step early, so the counter always reported that it had no plates on it.
- The walk now completes properly. The bar fix is unaffected – ordering a drink still cannot lock a sim up.
Skill locks set from the city now actually save
- Setting a skill lock from your Sim page while you were in the city looked like it worked, but nothing was ever written down. The lock vanished the next time your profile reloaded, and it never had any effect once you were on a lot.
- Worse, it poisoned the next attempt. Moving points from one skill to another – lowering one bar to raise another – left the game still counting the points you had just freed up, so every following click came back as “you can’t lock that many skills”. Once it started, it never stopped.
- Locks set from the city are now saved properly, and lowering a lock is always allowed. If your Sim somehow ended up with more locked points than they are allowed, you can now bring them back down instead of being stuck.
- Locking skills while standing on a lot was never affected and works the same as before.
Quieter, healthier lot hosting
- A lot whose resident had moved out was being started up and shut down again roughly every two minutes, all day long, for nobody. It has been happening quietly in the background for a while.
- The server now notices when a lot it opened does not stay open, stops hammering it, and writes a clear warning instead. Lots that legitimately need to stay open are unaffected, and a lot that recovers is picked back up automatically.
