π° Starting out
Every new Sim you create starts with Β§15,000. Spend it on a house
and the basics β you’ll earn the rest fast if you know where to go.
β‘ The Newbie Bonus (this is the big one)
For your first 30 days after signing up, your Sim earns DOUBLE
skill gain and DOUBLE payouts from money objects β but only while
you’re on a Welcome lot.
That’s 2x skills AND 2x simoleons from skill/money objects (SMOs).
It does NOT apply to job income β jobs pay the same everywhere.
π‘ Where to get it
Any lot in the “Welcome” category on the city map. Open the map,
filter by Welcome, and pick one that’s online.
These three are our 24/7 Welcome lots β they stay open even when
nobody’s home, so they’re your safest bet at any hour:

β’ NewSO Welcome Nest
β’ Newphaville Town Center
Other popular Welcome lots include NewSO Academy, New Beginnings,
The Cup House, Java Ranch and Procrastination Station.
β³ Use it or lose it
The bonus expires 30 days after you register β not 30 days after
you make the Sim. Get your skills up early while it’s active.
