If your NewSO Launcher is timing out or having trouble downloading the game files, you can install the required files manually.
1. Create the Game Folders
Open:
Windows (C:) → Program Files → NewSo Game
Inside the NewSo Game folder, create these two folders:
- NewSo
- The Sims Online
Your folder structure should look like this:
C:\Program Files\NewSo Game\
├── NewSo\
└── The Sims Online\
2. Download the Game Files
Download each part of the game separately:
NewSO Files
https://Newso.TheNewSimsonline.com/NSO
The Sims Online Files
https://Newso.TheNewSimsonline.com/TSO
3. Extract the Downloads
Once both downloads are complete, extract the files if they downloaded as compressed folders or ZIP files.
4. Move the Files
Move the contents of the NewSO download into:
C:\Program Files\NewSo Game\NewSo\
Move the contents of the TSO download into:
C:\Program Files\NewSo Game\The Sims Online\
Make sure you are copying the contents of the downloaded folders, rather than placing the entire downloaded folder inside the destination folder.
5. Launch NewSO
Once both sets of files are in the correct locations, reopen the NewSO Launcher.
The launcher should now be able to detect the manually installed game files and continue normally.
